Here's something I never expected when I got to Japan, donuts. I had heard from some friends and students here that donuts in Japan were good, but it still took me about 2 months to go. When I finally did go, it was to the local place called Mister Donuts and what a mesmerizing time it was.
The picture you see above is a good example of the large variety of donuts that are always available. They also have a large selection of donuts that are seasonal. My personal favorite is the オールド・ファッシュン・ホニー, aka the Old Fashion Honey.
It's like a glazed donut but better. The honey adds a lot to the glazed flavor, and the texture is delightful as well. One of these things fresh is simply a God send. A delectable morsel to be masticated by only the most fortunate of oral entry way. The best part is that you don't feel like you're going into a coma after eating one unlike Krispy Kreme (which they also have here).
Anyway, I like the donuts here, a lot, and it's my blog, which is why I'm allowed to waste time like this.
Peace out!

Giving Mister Donut its props is NO waste of time! I love that place. Mmmmm...
